my car was originally an amethist conv. (146 made in 98) it must have had a very professional repaint, its now millenium yellow. There isn't any overspray anywhere and no tape lines. Anyway, I love the yellow, but am wondering if I should paint it back to stock for value. It will probably have a salvage title anyway. Also does anyone know who in the northwest is good at sectioning the frame? I also need a front clip if anyone knows where there is one reasonable.

Reason: NOT ENOUGH RESPONSE
Sounds like a 98 Pace Car (Purple)
LIke others have already said, saying value and salvage in the same sentence is like saying 'hot chick' and Janet Reno together also
I hope your doing something like a widebody or C5R project cuz the boatloads of $ your about be dumping into it will be the last you ever see of it.
Enjoy whatever color makes you smile.
If the car is going to have a salvage title, I really don't think the color will matter that much. If you like the yellow, stick with it.
I don't think you're going to squeeze much more value out of it (if any at all) by restoring the paint. Salvage is Salvage regardless of color. If you like the color, keep it!

In 1998 there were two "purple" colors, the first Paint code 21U Radar Purple Metallic was the paint code for the Indy Pace Car Pkg, RPO (Z4Z), 1163 cars were Indy Pace Cars.
The second purple color was Paint Code 95U, Purple Pearl Metallic, 381 cars were this color.

Thats Right, But Only 146 Were Convertibles, We Must Be Looking At The Same Site. I GUESS FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY. I THINK I WILL KEEP IT YELLOW. I NEVER LIKED THE YELLOW B4, BUT NOW THAT I LOOK AT IT EVERYDAY, IT REALLY GREW ON ME! I HOPE I CAN FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN REPAIR THE FRAME THATS CLOSE TO ME, OTHERWISE I'LL HAVE TO SEND IT 1800 MILES TO OHIO. BY THE WAY, HAS ANYONE HEARD GOOD OR BAD ABOUT ED BROWNING IN GETTYSBURG, OH? HE IS WHO I AM PLANNING ON HAVING REPAIR THE CAR. HE SEEMS VERY HELPFULL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
