The Pace Car is code 21U "Radar Purple Metallic" only available on the Covertibles in 1998. Total production numbers including exports of 1163.
This purple is 95U "Majestic Amethyst Metallic" With production of 215 Coupes (domesitic) and 146 Convertibles (domestic) with 20 units for export for a total of 381.
The purple is a rare color, and quite a nice color. It would be great to have it the original color and it would be a head turner but I'm afraid with the salvage title you'd be throwing good money after bad.
