The wheels changed in 99' to thin spokes from what we on the forum all call wagon wheels. Also, Chevrolet got rid of the passenger side exterior door lock after a few model years. Other than these two issues there is no difference what-so-ever in appearence.

3 body styles
Coupe
Convertible (98-04)
Fixed Roof Coupe/Z06 (99-04)
They made mechanical changes throughout the years, but not really any style changes (besides wheels).

different colors came and went, too, if you count those as body changes.

Is it true that there wasn't a Convertable model in 98, it was the hatchback or the removable hard top?
What about the door moldings? I noticed my 00 had it and others that didn't. This must be an option?

The introduction of electron blue in 02 was a hit.

Thin spokes was the 2000 model year change. 2000 was also the year they dropped the passenger-side exterior door lock.
No convertibles in '97 - introduced in '98.

Yea, they had to stop making Navy Blue Metallic since it was just too beautiful.

Available colors are good too. I just wasn't sure if you can tell what year a C5 was by looking at it.
You can mostly see a difference from 53-82.... I lost track 84+. I think it just got rounder. (Not to forget the square break lights 90s)

The moldings are an option .... I don't know if it was offered for all C5 years. Many people have removed theirs however, I LOVE mine!

Aw, man. That comment will make the Z06 guys go ballistic.
'01 to '04 still had the same three basic body styles. Coupe, Convertible and of course Z06.

No body differences, just wheels from year to year and passenger side key hole.

Anyone ever figured out what "two slots" they have on all those lists that "curve toward the rear" on late 97 and 98's?
