Air conditioning not working!?

Air conditioning not working!?

Tried to use the A/C for the first time this year since it's been on the road and it is spewing out outside temperature air. What could the cause of the air conditioning failure be?

Open the hood and tun on the a/c. listen and watch to see if the compressor kicks on. If the compressor doesn't kick on most likely an electrical issue.

If compressor kicks on but no cold air... you have a leak in the system causing the refrigerant to go bye-bye. Have a tech find the leak before they charge it back up, otherwise you will be in the same boat down the road.

Check to see if the compressor belt is still on. I just had one replaced and it is working like new.

What if the A/C kicks on and the air is cooler then outside but not as cold as it should be? Low refrigerant?

You probably need freon.

All good points mentioned also if freon is too low compressor will not come on a safety feature to keep from burning up copressor due to lack of compressor oil or freon..my $.02
