My GY EMT's only lasted me 24K on the rear. I bought a set of 4 Pirelli P-Zero Nero's.
These are non-run flat, are very quiet, all season and the handling and tracking is fantastic.
I also have a AAA card and a can of instant flat repair ( in case I get a flat in a not-so-nice part of town)
I e-mailed Goodyear and asked them about what mileage to expect from their tires and this was their reply:
"While the Goodyear F1GS does not have a written tread life mileage warranty, the expected tread life would be approximately 20,000 -
30,000 miles.
Please keep in mind there are many factors which contribute to tire tread wear that must be considered and that we, as a manufacturer, cannot control. Some of the factors which will materially effect tires wear are inflation, tire rotation, wheel alignment, brake
usage, fast cornering, speed of operation, road conditions, and of course, the horsepower and type of vehicle itself."
Im at 29k and in need of tires, my dealer says they will meet Tire Racks price if not beat them plus i wont have to pay shipping. I gave them 3 tires a little while ago i wanted them to quote and i should have an answer back tomorrow. One of them was the GY EMT, the other were GY F1 GS D3 non run flats, and finally the tires im leaning towards the Kumho ECSTA MX XRP runflats which are rated "best seller" by Tire Rack and are half the listed price as the OEM tires.
I just changed mine, and went with NITTO 555's. AWSOME.
Smooth, quite, and very grippy.
I'm not one to promote something I don't get paid for, but I like these tires so far!!!
Bang for Buck, I think I found a good deal!
