I have seen the video and it does sound cool. I'm not sure exactly what is in the car in the video, but you can check out the packages on their web site and see what they offer.
A DSM = Diamond Star Motors, which was a joint venture between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. They built the Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon, and Mitsubishi Eclipse, which were all essentially the same car, except for the way the body was dressed and in some years, what options you could get on a particular model. They also made the Galant VR-4, which was a 4-door with the 4G63 turbo Mitsubishi motor and full time AWD. The cars were built in Normal, IL. I still have my 1990 Plymouth Laser RS.
You are talking about Eric's 99Z51R His car has since gone through a lot of changes and the last time he ran a 9 second pass That DSM never had a chance in the first place but if there was a rematch..............
You owe it to yourself to become familiar with Doug Rippie Motorsports. They have been MAJOR players in Corvette racing and street products for many years.
That old video still lurking around The car had a rippie top end package and an NX wet kit on it when the video was shot. I only used the juice on the last race, or should I say spinfest for me... I was very happy with the package, at the time it only had shorty headers, no cats, and PRT cat back, but it sounded great.
