Friends in our Vette club have a strikingly beautiful 2000 Navy Blue Metallic Roadster with Tan interior and soft top. Any ideas on where or how we can determine how many of the 13,479 convertibles produced in 2000 had this combination? We've never seen another one in our neck of the woods and wondered if it really is a somewhat unique combination. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might offer.
If you are a member of the C5 Registry you can go to their website and they have Production numbers for all years of C5's. I followed a link provided here to see those figures for our 2000 and found that 777 Dark Bowling Green convertibles were built in 2000.
GM doesn't release this information - but you can interpolate the numbers.....
There were 31,592 coupes and convertibles (the FRC was not available in the NBM color) and 2254 cars painted this color - 7.1%. So assuming 7.1% of the total convertible production (13,479) means there were approximately 957 NBM convertibles.
There were 8681 cars with the Light Oak interior - so again assuming 13,479 convertibles which is 6.4% had the Light Oak interior - that means there might have been 862 convertibles with the L.O. interior. so if you take 6.4% of the NBM convertibles - that comes out to 61.248 cars.
All of these numbers are based on assumption - but it might be pretty close......
No you can't find out how many NBM vert with tan interiors were made.
but you can find out how many NBM verts were made and
you can find out how many verts had tan interiors.
basically you can get the numbers based on an option, colour etc but nothing on a combination of options.
That is correct, I should have been more precise in my previous reply. You will see how many coupes & convertibles were painted NBM, but no info on NBM with Oak interior.
Thanks to all of you for your help. You confirmed what we suspected...not many 2000 Converts with this exterior, top and interior color combination. Once again the Corvette Forum's members deliver!!!
