First of all I'm trying to decide which headers I want. I'm pretty sure I want to go with the LG pro lt's, but I wanted to hear a few guys opinions on them. I've seen dyno charts with them putting out a proven 30/30 more rwhp/rwtq than over the stock headers. I was just wondering if you guys thought they're worth the extra $600 and they really are the best headers out there. Most other headers B&B, kooks, etc is closer to the $1000 price range so I'm hoping the extra 600 is well payed for. Can anybody vouche for them? Also would I need to get them blasted then powercoated so they won't rust on me? Any guys opinions on that, how well they keep up. I guess I'm looking at spending $1595 + shipping on LG's website, the headers seem to be quite hard to find anywhere else. Leave me your comments and if you know of a better/cheaper place to pick them up, let me know. Thanks.
We are fortunate that there are many quality headers available for our C5s, some of them listed in your post. I did a lot of mind wrenching before I bought my LG Pros but for me at least, they were the best system available. Track proven performance, fabrication quality (made by Borla) is excellent as is the fit-up, serious merge collectors and 3" pipes.
For those on a tight budget, the LG Streets and the Dynatechs (essentially a copy of the LG Pros with smaller pipes) might be a good choice. There are many more out there. At the time, I was fortunate that I could afford the LG Pros.
I really wanted the LGs, but settle for something cheaper and I went with the SLPs and they are a very nice header, but a PITA to install. That is another plus for the LGs, I have heard they are a relatively easy header to install.
Good luck and whatever you get, you will notice the extra power of the LTs.

There are many many great headers out there.
Is one set better then others?? It will depend on who you talk to or which shop did what dyno and the biggest factor how is the car tuned with the equipment.
Lots of top names in no particlular order.
Borla
LG ( special made by Borla)
Corsa
Melrose
TPIS
Kooks
to name just a few.
Is one set of headers worth an extra $600?? Most likly NOT, but that is up to you.
I would suggest that you do get ceramic coated headers as that will keep the heat out of the foot well and engine bay.
ANy time you can increase the air flow INTO the engine and get more exhaust out of the engine that will help with power.
Rember you do need to get the car tuned after you bolt something like headers on to get the most out of the new product.
They are high quality stainless steel, and will not rust. They will discolor over time and take on a gold tint. Some folks have gotten ceramic or Jet-Hot coating on them. The Jet-Hot looks like chrome and stays that way. Myself, I left my LG pros bare. And with a tune, I did get 30/28 hp/tq.

Just my .02. Hope this helps.
Dave, nobody has copied the nascar collector that are on the pro's, excellent points on the Borla and race backed r&d www.lgmracing.com
material is a major factor also, T-304 SS is the way to go
Yea, I've made my mind up to go with the LG pro's...does anyone know a cheaper place to get them other than LG's website, which is $1595 plus shipping?
I got my Lg's from Lou at LGM. Before I had them installed I sent them to Jet Hot and had them ceramic coated. The price you quoted seems cheaper than I paid for mine (does this include high flow cats) but I really can't remember. All I can tell you is I'm really happy with mine, and with my catback exhaust system they sound totally awesome.
Just put mine on this past monday, and I Love them!
Yeah , I hear you but for some reason they are running the off road headers first, I wan the TSP but sheesh.. how long do I have to wait?
I'll end up with the LG's if they can't get the TSP's done in the next month or so because there's so many options it doesn't make sense to wait.
I want to get these done before our Phoenix AZ summers arrive in true form with triple digit temps, that's just too hot to be modding a car on a Saturday afternoon.
I'll call Jason again, I never seem to be able to contact him. Maybe with a little help from enough CF members that want Ceramic coated headers with the air tube contact him, we'll encourage him to make us some headers....
So the headers are 1595 and then you send them to someone to ceramic coat them? How much does that run?
$1595 plus shipping from LG (Lou). You don't have to get them coated, but if you don't after a while they will turn a goldish/bronze color. I'm not getting mine coated and I'm going with the off road package (without cats), with cats its $1895 plus shipping. Coating will run you diff. prices, depending if you know someone or what shop does it for you. Their not too expensive, worth it in the long run, but I'll be to anxious to get the headers on the car
