Have someone do a photoshop for you and you can get a good idea. My personal opinion is they will be too noticeable.....having said that, I am not a fan of gold wheels to begin with so mine is a bias comment, but I just don't see them working.

If you do the photoshop, please post.
I agree, they may be too pretentious.
I've just always liked them since the old days of gold Morris mags on bikes.
Sometimes the "times" dictate what would look best, I think. Gold and silver BBS mesh wheels were really popular a few years back, and they looked great on just about everything. But those became a bit "dated," I'd say. Now, I associate gold wheels with the Subaru WRX. So, I wouldn't opt for them on a Corvette.
if you like it , do it. don't worry about how others feel, it is your vette and you can do what you want. i doubt there is any wheel that will look bad on a vette...spinners excepted...lol
The Porsche in your pic appears to have a gold cage and some other interior trim as well. I think that's the only reason it looks ok. If I owned it, I would have gone with a black cage and either polished or some shade of black for the wheels. The Iforged pic in one of the posts has a couple that look good to me.
Yours might look good with gold if you have some other gold trim to match up with it like the Porsche does. Gotta be careful with the gold though, lest you remind someone of a "smokey and the bandit" TA.
