Hi Guys,
Just installed my Corsa pace car with tiger shark tips, looks great and sounds awesome WOT but not 100% happy with the motor boat sound at idle and the popping on decel.
From experience with this system will an X pipe fix this problem?
Look forward to comments.
I've got the same set up, plus a WCC Tru-X Pipe. I didn't hear the mufflers without a x pipe. They sound a little like a boat when it's not warmed up. After that i can hardly tell. Maybe i'm used to it by now. They pop still also, but again less once warmed up. I like that though.
I have pace cars and recently went with longtube headers and WOW does it sound like a race car WOT, yes pop but I like it. I still had alittle pop when before headers with an xpipe. (I've got one if you are looking)
I got the Corsa turing, tiger tips ( they do look the best don't they ) with the Corsa X pipe... no poping. I also put in the Abs of steel at the same time, great addition.

Thanks for the offer but I am in Australia, cost me a packet just getting the Corsa over, I will just get high flow cats and an X pipe done here.
Then headers, What the heck its only money!!!!!!!
Installed Pace Cars with an WCC X pipe. Love the sound ..no motor boat at idle, slight pop on decel. Wife's comments "Now it sounds like a sports car" No drone

I have the Corsa Touring cat-back and had the Corsa X-pipe. Motor boat sound at idle and decel popping. I don't think the X-pipe does anything to stop decel pop. It may help lessen back-pressure. I recently added American Racing headers which comes with their own X-pipe buit-in. Don't waste your money on an X-pipe (IMO), especially if you're planning on adding headers in the future.
I must say I have to eat my words I have had the system on for approx 1 week now and done allot of driving with the top down.
You can have a full on conversation cruising around but when you step on it she sings and everyone that comes for a spin loves the popping on decal.
I dont think I will be changing anything for a while!!!!
Its really a different sound that what I am use to with a Gen111, I would call it a real exotic sound.

I have the Corsa w/o x-pipe, and the wife's comments "now it sounds like a motor boat"... really, she did!

I will be adding the WCC X-pipe very soon (it's sitting in the garage waiting for the lift at a friend's to be available). I like the way the Indy Tigersharks sound now, but would like to quiet the popping somewhat. did the X-pipe change the tone of the Corsa's?
After the bashing of Corsa I have been reading here lately, I just want to say this is the second set of Corsa I have installed (C4 & C5) and both were a perfect fit. No problems, no re-adjusting, and best of all - no resonance!!
i have the corsa pace car and corsa x pipe and i get a lot on poping on decel. i don't think you get as much if you have an automatic, also i have been told if you get car tuned it gets rid of a lot of the poping.
I have the Corsa Pace Car with pro tips and no X-Pipe in my C5 w/ an A4. I also have the motor boat sound and poping on deceleration. I dont mind the poping too much but the boat motor has to go. The poping has a lot to do with the way you down-shift. If I down-shift from highspeed to a lower gear, generating high RPMs (Lots of engine/compresion braking) the poping is more pronounced. I am planing on an X-Pipe to hopfully mute the boat noise.
