Now that I have my dream car the gas prices almost prevent me from driving it!!! My questions are, will it hurt the engine to put the mid grade fuel in and will octane booster hurt it? Hope these questions aren't too dumb..........
I think that using the mid grade and the octane booster will end up costing more than just using premium. It would not hurt the car but is not cost advantagious.
The difference between mid grade and premium is usually 10 cents per gallon....
That is $2 or less a tank.... I can economize elswhere to offset the gas price increase.

Run the premium. When you leave a stop light, ease into the gas. Run the car at a steady 65 on the freeway - even use cruise control. If you follow these tips, you will keep your gas prices under control. Mid0grade with booster? Nope - not the way to save $$.
Aside from the fact that Octane Booster is nothing more than Fuel Injector cleaner and Snake oil. It brings the octane up about 0.3 at most. Not enough to do anything for you....
Its like adding a bottle of Techron that only treats 12 gallons instead of just buying Chevron gasoline. It adds about $.50 a gallon if you add the right amount.
Stick to the premium gas...like a member suggested change driving habits and top off at half tank or even 3/4 tank..that will cut your cost for gas at the pump.
