I would say no unless you are racing alot or making more power than stock. I only recently am adding this item to my car since I am pushing over 450 rwhp and race my car regularly. I have gone without this brace for over a year now running et streets at the track and have not had any issues.

Well... If you do not race much and do not run DRs, it is probably not worth it. You can dead hook with DRs and bad things man. Also, wheel hop once can break a trany, shaft, case. To be on the safe side, I would, I did ect... Best to built it once rather than fix it later. You are probably 99% safe but I would hate to hear otherwise. Good post!

depends what tires you are running and what rpm you plan on launching. trying to do launches above 2k rpm on stock tires and not controling the tire spin will give you nasty wheel spin if not wheel hop which can spell disaster. Also running the stickier tires is bad news for the stock drive train. Most get away with it without any problems. Some break stuff on stock motors and just DRs
