Default sways..

quick question,

If i upgrade my stock sways to the Z06 ones, how much will it affect the comfort of the ride. every now and then at highway speeds in a turn where the road isnt that smooth the car feels a bit squirly.. im looking for something to correct this, but do not want to give up alot of comfort ( I do alot of highway driving)... will the sways help this, or should i look at the C6 zo6 shocks.... i have the magnetic ride setting currently... thanks.

I just put ZO6 sways on my '01 coupe with the adjustable suspension and I love it. The highway ride didn't get bumpier, and the car feels more stable and solid. On the back roads, the car handles much more like it should have when I bought her new. I did have creaks from the swap though, and just ordered the replacement polyurethane bushings from Ecklers to solve this typical issue. #44872 (fronts) and #45707 (rears).

First - tires???? Are they 'good"?

Second, and assuming the tires are 'good', the Z06 or Hochkis (sp?) sway bars, front and rear, are a GREAT improvement in road handeling capability.

I got mine at Fred Beans. They are a supporting vendor here.

I upgraded my F55 suspension car with Z06 sways a couple of years ago. Purchased them from Fred Beans (excellent experience BTW.) No difference in ride harshness in Tour or Sport setting with the Z06 sways. You will corner flatter in either setting . The squirlyness (is that a word) you feel in turns is due to the stiff sidewalls of runflat tires. The sway bars will not help this.

The run-craps have such stiff construction that they tend to be a little squirrely, especially when you make up-grades to the suspension and or rough roads.

Non-run flat tires are SUPERIOR to the run-craps in all categories and eliminate many of the quirks related to the run-craps.
