About 6 months ago I bought a set (4) C5 Chrome Wheels (5-spoke) from Ecklers and today I noticed that two of them are starting to flake and peel in the barrels...I do remember Ecklers said they warranty them for 3 years but I'm sure to get the run around on this one. Would you ask them to replace them or for an outright refund and try another company? This sucks.
Document EVERYTHING. Take pictures of the wheels NOW, print and save copies of every email you send and receive, keep a log of when you called and who you talked to (and what was said, of course), etc. You may not need it but if there's questions down the line, you want the facts and timeline on your side.
That said, be honest about everything and try to get it resolved in a kindly way. Take the high road, don't get nasty, but stand your ground and insist that they keep their word on the warranty and back up their product and reputation.
So do you think I should ask for new wheels to replace the others for now and see how they turn out or do you think they may also flake with time ??? Are they a cheap rip-off wheel and poorly made ??
