Paint Question
I have a Pewter 00' Vette. Part of the car was repainted due to an accident. I just noticed, after taking some pics at dusk, that the fender that was just painted looks darker than the rest of the car. In the sun I can't tell, but now that I saw it in the pictures, I notice it in the shade. The body shop will reshoot the door and rear quarter to match but will need the car for three to four days. He said that he thinks that the sun will eventually lighten the color of the new paint and it will blend. My thought's are, what if he doesn't get an exact paint match from what was mixed 2 mos. ago. Should I leave it alone being that it is something that I can only see or will I be opening up a can of worms by bringing it back to see if it can be matched? Will the sun lighten up the new paint?

Whoever did the fender should have blended into the door and hood. If he does the same thing to these panels now and does not blend them into adjacent panels, you could end up with a third different color and an even bigger issue. Good luck deciding.
