I'll probably score an xpipe sometime in the near future to help smooth out the drone I get from my Stingers.
I don't think so...the X-pipe is before the Stingers and will not affect the "drone". It may change the tone slightly but the drone is inescapable with the Stingers.
I'll have a Bassani X-pipe for sale in a few weeks. It's only been on the car for a year. The reason I'm selling it is because I'm installing a full Supermaxx Header system which includes an X-pipe.
The Bassani unit is top notch. I purchased it from Mid-America for $299. If I don't sell it beforehand, I plan on bringing it with me to the VetteFest in September.
Kinda hard to say considering several factors. Brand of headers, cats, and xpipe, plus the install. Here's a pretty good starting point... Headers are easily over a grand...high flow cats are over 500...xpipe...200...install...???? I talking about brand new items though, but you get the picture. It adds up pretty quick...but then again...it makes your car pretty quick too! Golden rule..gotta pay to play!
about $1200.00 w/o headers.Installed Maganflow hi-flow cats, maganflow X-pipe.
I went with the Magnaflow since it was a full true x-pipe. Quality and fitment were top notch. Difference in sound was defintely noticeable. I would say the sound is now much more mellow and smooth.
Hope this helps.
I also went with the Magnaflow x as well to pair with my Borla Stingers. Very happy happy with the results. Smooths out deceleration and almost eliminates the 1500 rpm drone. Everybody needs one.
