I went with the Magnaflow since it was a full true x-pipe. Quality and fitment were top notch. Difference in sound was defintely noticeable. I would say the sound is now much more mellow and smooth.

Hope this helps.

I have a Bassani with Borla Stingers. They mellow it, taking alot of the gurgle out.

They are supposed to even out the exhaust flow better, possibly giving just a pinch more HP. Also some say it helps with the popping and takes away the motor boat sound that some exhaust give without one.

Save your money. An x-pipe without headers is useless as a performance part.

If you're gonna do it...then do it right. LT Headers, highflow cats, xpipe, and exhaust all at once....one project done and out of the way. Just my 2.5 cents!

Kinda hard to say considering several factors. Brand of headers, cats, and xpipe, plus the install. Here's a pretty good starting point... Headers are easily over a grand...high flow cats are over 500...xpipe...200...install...???? I talking about brand new items though, but you get the picture. It adds up pretty quick...but then again...it makes your car pretty quick too! Golden rule..gotta pay to play!

Yeah but if you arent gonna do headers it atleast gets rid of that annoying stock motorboat sound. I giggle everytime I hear my neighbor across the street start his stock exhaust with Corsa sounds like crap.

Infact, I dont know anyone who actually bought just a x-pipe for pure performance because you are right. Wont add much if any at all.

I have the B&B Route 66 cat backs and put a Bassani X-pipe on it. Cured the resonance and popping problems I was having.

Default Corsa X pipe only

I had my local shop install a Corsa X pipe on my stock '02 Coupe. I love the way it sounds (not looking for performance improvements). Keeps the exotic/slightly muscular sound, but got rid of 75% of the gurgle-popping. Most important - it got rid of all of the VERY annoying jingling resonance sound coming from the exhaust system on deceleration or coast-down. I was considering selling the car. Now I'll probably keep it forever.

If you can find a competent "exhaust system technician", they can custom build one for you. I did, saved me from spending $200+ for a brand named one.

I have added the Borla X-Pipe on my stock exhaust and it does sound much better especially when I get down on the gas pedal. I also added a Z06 airbox lid with the "swiss cheese" mod and K&N performance filter. With all this, I can truly state that I do have SOTP performance increase. Which one done it? I'm don't know but I feel that these mods compliment each other.

You will notice no difference from adding a x-pipe except it will change the sound of your exhaust. It will minimize if not get rid of the motor boat girgle and reduce the drone at cruise speed slightly.

I'll probably score an xpipe sometime in the near future to help smooth out the drone I get from my Stingers.
