I have Jet-hot coated Dynatechs...it really does cut down on the heat. It's not that you have to do it...but it helps and looks better IMO
THe stock manifolds are Iron and have heat sheilds..obviously most of the aftermarket headers are Stainless Steel which we know is thinner metal..and headers don't come with heatsheilds either.
