Want some feedback, thinking about Headers, should I consider Ceramic coated for heat or just go with uncoated ss? Currently have GHL Bullets how much will cockpit noise increase at cruise?

Installed LG street series 3weeks ago. Well I should KICK myself for not doing it earlier. I'm running through Corsa's Indys, still sound the same under normal driving, but give it some throttle and its Bad AZZ And I did get them coated
Do IT, You will not regret it

Matter of fact, I'm getting ready to install a set on a guys Z, cause he liked the change so much

Go with the Ceramic coated...they don't tornish after awhile like the SS ones and they do run a lot cooler..IMHO..

I've got the Ghl bullets and when I bought the Lg Pro Longtubes I sent them off to Jet Hot to have them coated before I had them installed. Still look good and really not any louder in cockpit while cruising, now WOT, thats a whole different story.

I have GHL Bullets and added Dynatech Supermax headers which I had coated by Jet-Hot. It's louder, but I get compliments from everyone. Did the ceramic coating to keep the heat down, I had read that the heat was hard on the starter and the clutch slave cylinder. I put the coated headers on last Aug. and have not had any problems.

I have a C5 vert, running LG Pro Longtubes with high flow cats, magnaflow x-pipes and Borla Stingers. They are louder, but of you short shift you can keep the sound down when cruising, and running
at 80mph in 6th gear creates a bad resonance in the cockpit. The solution is to drive at 75 or 90.

WOT sounds phenomenal, and the extra power rocks!

Default headers

Use ceramic coated ones. SS headers get patina and look like they have rusted. Jet Hot sells their own nickel ceramic coated long tubes for about $650 shipped, by far the best deal I could fine. Fit was good and install was easy.

I installed Dynatech Supermaxx LT's - I love the fit and sound of the headers, but I wish I would have had them ceramic coated before I installed them - I'm not sure it's worth the effort for me to remove them next winter, have them ceramic coated and reinstall them, but if I were you, I WOULD put on headers, BUT BEFORE I put them on, I would have them ceramic coated - probably reduces heat as others have said, but I LOVE the mirror finish that ceramic coating gives. Awsum looking when finished w/ ceramic!!

Love my Texas speed headers here. They come ceramic coated already.

Total cost was only $700 including O2 extensions, gaskets, and TSP connection pipes.

My headers thread.

I went with the LG streets with cats delivered for $1235. Instead of coating the headers (I'm not as much into looks as performance) I spent my money on a ceramic coated tunnel plate from Elite Engineering and I've noticed a considerable reduction in interior cabin heat, esp. next to the tunnel. Good luck

Went w/ Jet-Hot coated LG Pros/Elite Engineering ceramic coated tunnel plate/Kool Sox plug wire protectors and ThermoTec heat tape on anything that came close to exhaust. Overkill? Probably but didn't wanna risk cooking something.

Others have had no heat problems w/ just stainless (uncoated) and no other heat protection.

Have GHL Bullets as well and do get some buzz in cabin under light load at 1400-1500rpm (A4 w/ 2:73)

I have the Dynatechs. They're uncoated and I don't really notice much more heat. As for looks - they're under the car so I don't really care what they look like - just as long as they perform.

Go with the coated headers - they will look good for a much longer time. Plus the heat will be reduced.

I got LG Pros and had them sent directly to Jet-Hot to be coated to cut down on the underhood heat.
