Heads should be finished by the time I get home so it will be cam and heads in about two weeks which should net me about 470 /480 respectively.

Seriously, the current heads had some 'minor' work done to them by the previous owner which, coupled with an exceptionally talented guy with a computer and LS1 programmer, accounts for the extra ponies
Although its a beautifull car, when you says "its a Z06 and then some," you couldnt be further from the truth..
The ENTIRE drivetrain is different... Motor, Heads, Torque Tube, Tranny, and Rear end. Heck even the electronic hardware is different.
Not to mention suspension, and exhaust.
So basically what I am understanding is, is you have a hopped up LS1 that has the appearence mods of a Z06...

Once you put the badges on, you crossed the line IMHO.

I like the car. It looks great man, BUT; the Z06 badges are rice....

)

I think the finishing touch for your car since it is a 99 would be to change the passanger side door handle with an 00+ (no Key Hole), this way people can't pick it apart without looking at the VIN or Head castings, etc..
It's your car, you can do what you want - I love my 2000 FRC and think it looks great. One think i HATE about the Z's are the brake ducts, i think they look like such an afterthought and is one of the things that (IMHO) make my car look better then a Z. but to each their own.

Take those junky/gaudy chrome flags off the taillights and you got yourself a nice ride. Nice work. (except for those taillight covers) Now you cant tell me that you can stand behind that car and not think that its a little too much.
I'm not trying to be rude like some people on this thread.
You have a nice car and everything but yes just get rid of the zo6 badges and perhaps have a logo put over the zo6 on the seats and you're done. No matter what you do the VIN is not for a zo6 and it wasn't made a ZO6 from the factory...there's nothing wrong with that I don't have a Z and I'm very happy with my coupe as should you be with your frc since they are rare and the back end looks great

I think all would be perfect if you get rid of the tails, and put the LS1 badges on instead of the Z06 ones....
(you can get the LS1 badges pretty cheap, and they are in the same style as the Z06 ones.)
