Excellent thread! I struggle with mine and find that will a little finesse, I can get it to open correctly, but what a PITA!

....and once you get the center console open, you will find the button to open the gas lid. I looked for that dang thing for prob 5 minutes the first time I pulled into a gas station!

I would have never thought a couple of drops of oil would fix this problem but it did. Before I would open it a little ways and then sort of pull it towards the driver side to open it all the way. Now after oiling the hinges it opens right up effortlessly. Thanks.

I oiled mine last night after reading this thread ... works beautifuly now. I used some free lubricant I got when I ordered my Rejex.

Yeah took me a couple days to figure the dang thing out. Mine didn't really need any oil to open, Instead, i just pull it slightly towards me while lifting, and it opens right up with almost no resistance...
