I went to the store last night, and when I came back outside, I noticed my driver's side mirror was flopping in the wind. I think sombody probably came up and tried to tear it off, but it may have just broke and I hadn't noticed it. It sits down ok, but it's not held there.
This shows the mirror when seated. It fits fine.
This shows the problem. Is this fixable, or do I have to get a new mirror?

It's fixable, but not a DIY. Do a search, hopefully a link to the guy who fixes them will pop up. I guess he fixes it better than stock and works quickly and for a lot less $$ than Chevy.

Thanks.
This is a GM flaw with the spring clip retainer ... or something like that. The same thing happened to mine when I was in a restaurant, and I too thought somebody did it. Then I seen more than one thread on this topic right here in C5 Gen. I just fixed mine back down with Velcro and it's been holding fine for the past year.
