Default Seat question

When I open the car door I would like the seat to go to the position when I take the key out.

Is there a trick to this?

Do you have a memory button their are two it would be on the drivers door. When you get in the car and put the key into start the car push and hold the memory button their are two buttons one for key fob 1 and one for key fob 2 it will light up just hold it in until the light goes off.You can set this button for different people who drive the car. Each key fob has a number on it 1or 2.Before you do what i have told you make sure you have the seat in the right position you want it to be so each time you get in the car again an put the key into start the car it will work for you.If you ever change any of the settings of the seat you will have to set the memory button again. When you remove the key the seat should go back to the normal position so it is easy for you to get out of the car when you get back into the car and you start the car with your key the seat should go back to where you like the seat to be when you are driving.Hope i did not confuse you.

There is a little black book in the glovebox that has all the tricks in it

On you DIC there is an options button.
Press that and scroll until you see "EASY ENTRY ON" come up
It should be set to "OFF"
Change this to "ON" and see if the car learns this new trick.

Hope that helps!

Also, via the DIC you can program your memory to move all the way back and pull the steering all the way in to make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle.

Then when you use your FOB (as stated earlier) it will return the seat, radio and HVAC back to your prescribed settings......pretty cool.

Also it will return the telescoping steering wheel and outside mirrors to their prescribed settings.

There is also a memory 3, I have that one programmed for backing. From the normal driving position I adjusted both mirrors down so I could almost see the rear wheels then pressed and held both buttons. Now when I start to back into a parking spot I just hit both buttons at the same time and the mirrors both go down.

We found that we had to lock the door first and then unlock it (with the remote) for the memory to work.

I know what you are speaking of..i.e., you're in the car with the motor running and you need to run back in the house to get something, you open the door but the seat stays in the up and forward (driving position) unless you turn off engine and remove the key. I think, and I'm going out to try it after I type this, if you position the seat in the back and down position and then program that as position 3 (hold 1 and 2 down together) it will work. Then before you open door with motor running, press buttons 1 and 2 together and seat will go where you want it. Then when you get back in and close the door, press button 1 (if that's where your driving position is, and you're all set to race again.

Cheers

Just tried it and it works.

PierEagle,
Yep that's the way to do it.

I was hoping that you didnt have to push a button; wanted it to do it auto with the door open.

Can't wish for everything!
