I have an XR-1 on my 2000 and love the sound of it. Not such a fan of the tips though, I love the quad stinger tips, but I also love the sound of my exhaust.

I had the BORLA STRAIGHT pipes with stock exhaust, I have had the XR-1 racing system and I have had the straight pipes with LT Headers and no cats.

STRAIGHT PIPES on a stock car...nice beefy sound at idle and aggressive at WOT.

XR-1 Racing System...Sounds like a jet, nice sound at idle, esspecially with a cam and very nice at WOT, but you will get resonance (SP?).

STRAIGHT PIPES on a heads and cam car with LT Headers and not cats...VERY AGGRESSIVE at idle and INSANE at WOT!

Your tips don't look like the BORLAs, here is a picture of the BORLA straight pipe tips I had on my car:

Possibly the magnoflow setup, they have a straight pipe setup too.

Borlas have the BORLA etched on the top of the pipe, so that would be the dead give-away on whether they are BORLAs of not.

awesome...love those dual tips!!
do you know if straight pipes add horsepower? cuz ive read some posts of people saying that some exhaust systems made them lose horsepower....that would NOT be cool!!

Single pipes w/o no mufflers but also no adjustment. Half the Vettes I see have misaligned tips which looks cheapo IMO.

I had the Borla straights on for a while with LGPro longtubes and x-pipe no cats and it was just TOO loud. We are talking "hide your women and children" ear piercing.

Swapped it out for a Z06 and then of course that was TOO quiet heh. Got the Borla stingers but haven't had a chance to install them yet. The mufflers are bitty though, but should help keep things civil. Its in two pieces which should give you a little room for adjustment.

With your setup the STINGERS will be a lot more quieter than your straight pipes. I will tell you this, they still get a bit loud at WOT, but nothing compared to what the straight pipes were at WOT.

I have the borla straight pipes. They are loud at idle, pretty loud when cruising, and very loud at wot. They sound kind of rough and raspy. I have gotten many complements on the sound, but I have also had just as many people say they hate it. Honestly, I think I would rather have the stingers. I'll hopefully have enough money saved up to switch them out this summer sometime.
