Does it fit underneath the car without driving up on ramps first? Do the grey rhino ramps work without hitting the air dam or undercarriage of the car and where can you get them? Thanks for the info. James
Mean, the grey RHino Ramps will not work. The angle of attack is too steep. I purchased Race Ramps for the front wheels. Got them from Amazon.com but many companies sell them on the internet. Also some folks on the fourm have posted plans for making your owon ramps out of wood. If you want all four wheels up on ramps use race ramps for the front and jack up the back and put the rear wheels on the Rhino Ramps.
FYI from a recently former Sears Service Center Manager...
Sears lifetime warranty is for Craftsman hand tools only. As stated above, no power tools qualify.
Sears store managers were instructed about a year and a half ago (yep, coincidental to the buy out by K-Mart) to enforce the previously published 90 day warranties that exist on most products. Since the store managers bonuses are tied here I saw many of them really start drawing a line.
Sears has always been famous for generously supporting it's products (in my experience) but with new times come new rules. It'll hurt them in the long run, I'm sure.
Also, FYI, be very careful when purchasing, or renewing, Sears extended warranties called Maintenance Agreements. These have changed and do not cover the same services that they used to especially in preventative maintenance. Read product offerings very carefully since you may not be buying what you thought.
I thought all "Craftsman" brand tools were guaranteed for life by Sears? Did they throw that out the window when K-Mart took over control? Or does that only a apply to hand tools? Wait a minute. A floor jack IS a hand tool!! I'm holding out for one of those The DK20HLQ jacks from A.C. Hydraulics.
But I think I'm going to wait until Father's Day so I'll stand a better chance of actually getting away with spending that kind of dough on a floor jack!!
There guarantee is for hand tools only and everything else is one year except where stated as lifetime
I bought an aluminum 1.5 ton Torin jack from Pep Boys for $69.99 after rebate. It looks identical to the one pictured in post #12 above except it blue and doesn't say CRAFTSMAN.
Its minimum height is 3.15" (Fits under front of car at stock height) and weighs 23 lbs.
You don't need more than a 1.5 ton jack as the entire car weighs just a shade over 1.5 tons.

I worked at Sears years ago, and the policy of "Satisfaction Guaranteed or you Money Back" still seems to be in effect as a policy at their website. At the store I worked at, it was posted above the door, and it may be still in your store(s). When I worked there - regardless of the stated warranty and exclusions, if you raised enough stink, i.e. talk to the manager, talk to the manager's manager, and quote the above, you always got your money back or the equipment replaced. Secondly (and off topic), maintenance agreements were how we were measured as successful sales people, because they were almost all profit for Sears - in other words server/maintenance agreements are usually silly to buy.

I bought some of the grey rhino ramps from Wally World a little while ago and other than a little folding of the sacrificial spoiler up front I had no issues getting the car up for a Vararam install. Maybe I missed some other scrapping, but it did not seem to be an issue.
On another note, would the 1.5 ton version be enough for jacking purposes (it is usually around $129 I think)?
