Make sure to posts some finished and installed pics
I will post some pictures when it's done. I'm just waiting for the rain to stop so I can paint. Even with a good filter and water seperator, it's not good to paint with 100 percent humidity. I put it on the car when I did the initial bonding so it would be cold molded in the right shape unique to my car, and I have to say, it looks pretty bad *** and not out of place at all. In fact, it adds to the lines of the car. It will have 2 black stripes and a dual nitrous purge in the back section of the cowl.
The more I look at the cowl, the more I think I'd either soften the center-line ridge or even remove it completely. The C5 design doesn't have any hard lines anywhere and such a sharp line may keep the cowl from looking as good as it could.

I would definately remove the centerline, but other than that, awesome job so far!! Can't wait to see pics

I like the centerline. I think think it gives it a lot more detail, plus it will help to separate the two stripes. Otherwise it would just be a flat cowl.

I like the look!
I wonder how the bond of fiberglass mat to the SMC of the hood will hold up long term?
Only time will tell. Seems to be an excellent bond though. The only thing I'm undecided about is whether or not to continue the stripes past the hood and down the nose of the car.

Hmmm? Maybe have them fade out towards the nose of the car (or fade in, depending upon your perspective ).
It looks like you blended the underside joint as good as the top, nice work. I plan to be spraying color and clear on my flares/rockers Sunday morning.

Sprayed primer on the top this afternoon. Just need to sand out the primer and ready for color. Saw a couple of pinholes on the very tip of the snout. If I have enough primer I can wet sand it out, if not, just some straightline filler and re prime that spot. After that, wet sand, then color. Might do it this weekend.
Well shoot, when you go in late a get home early, I don't stand a chance.
You figured that out huh? I am also installing nitrous in my C5 (see new thread), installing and painting a new cowl hood for my 454SS, removing the step bumper, and installing a roll pan and trailer hitch on the SS, installing new baffles on my Harley, fabricating and installing a sissy bar and custom engine mount for my CBX. I'm also doing some remodeling on my house. Thats just this week.
