Manualy Shifting Automatic
I have heard from a performance shop that manualy shifting the tranny on my C-5 is a no no!!! My C-4 was a 6-speed and I loved it. But when I was looking for a C-5 I came across a mint one owner rag top who had just bought a new C-6. I thought I could live with it and now my wife(doesnt drive a stick) occasionally drives it. You guys out there with the autos find any truth in this???

I shift up and down each and every day.
I did with my stock A4, then after I installed the shift kit, and now with my RPM full race A4.

If it wasn't meant to be shifted it would just have a "D".
Have fun.

Yes - but find a new performance shop to install it for you.

Did the guy that told you not to do it tell you why it is a no, no?
As stated before, why have 3 other gears on the column if you are not suppose to use them?
I have been shifting mine for the last 2 years and have had no problems and really get ticked when someone tells you not to do it, if they don't provide you a legit reason.
