Batteries
What kind of battery is GM using now in the '05 and up vettes? Just want to know what my best options are since the red top went dead while in storage for a year. Don't right now if it will hold a charge again. Thanks

I'd stay with the Red Top, IMHO. No acid leaks to worry about. You can't go wrong with a battery tender either. Best way to keep the battery charged during storage.

As has been said, winter sorage requires a tender of some sort. I use the Battery Maintainer from Sears.
As for the battery, my red top didn't even last the season last year. I returned it to PepBoys and the guy told me that I should've bought the yellow top. He said that was what he uses and that I would have no problem with it. He took my dead red top and gave me the yellow top and said 'Have a nice day'. It finished the season and is working fine today.
