BTW, with the new data aquisition devices available today, it's been proven that a competent driver can shift a fully manual transmission much quicker than a regular automatic can shift itself, and even match the shift times of the most state of the art Sequential Manual/Paddle Shift boxes out there.
I just had a very interesting run with a Viper about 3 weeks ago at a one and a half mile road course near Brescia, Italy. The track is named Franciacorta. I have quite a few bolt ons, VaraRam, Granatelli, Corsa Indy, big air bridge and etc (more coming). My car runs the quarter in 12.556 at about 117MPH. The Viper was a 2005. On the (about) 1/2 mile longest straight, we were probably at 30 MPH after the last turn and if he were behind me, he could pull me by only a half car length but he could not pass me on the straight. I could out corner him in the slow hairpins and, honest, at one time, I waited for the Viper to catch up. We raced for probably 30 laps or more and I can honestly say, that I beat him. Had I not boiled the fluid in my brakes, I could have beaten him by at least a third of the track. I have new Eradispeed brakes, Stainless lines, and ceramic pads to install for a race at Hockenheim in June. I have a BBK throttle body, and 160 degree stat in the mail, which should help a little. I wish I knew more about the Diablo Predator and what it could do for me. If you go to http://www.ssmoparmuscle.com/speedcomp.htm you'll see a pretty comprehensive list of quarter mile and 0 - 60 MPH times. You can sort it by any of the columns of information and get a pretty good idea where your car should be running and what you could and couldn't beat if you know what your car turns in the quarter.

I just sold my gen 2 gts 4 weeks ago...the first time i ever took it to the track in BONE STOCK form, it ran a 12.1 @117..Thats on pilots. Any type of slick or drag radials and it could be in the 11's. Just so ya know. Good luck, hope ya win.
Seeing the Viper out accelerate my Vette on the straights by at least a half car length, I'm sure this Viper would also run very low 12s or high 11s. Great cars, no doubt.
