i agree with previous posts but they don’t look like VW ! They are awesome looking . I’m a corvette guy , love my vette , but porches are fantastic cars . What world did you come from ?
Same world I do. Most people I know admit there is a minimum of a slight resemblance (more than slight IMO) regardless if they like Porsche or not.
Just an FYI though.. the guy you replied to hasn't posted in years.
Hate to pop your bubble but as a 40 year original owner of a 911 it was very reliable. The only problems I had were due to a bad mechanic. I sold it for my vette. The reason was parts were getting hard to find.
if that was directed at me, I should have clarified that I was referring to the liquid cooled and front engined stuff. The old air cooled cars are rock solid. It seems that the new stuff is plagued with computer/electrical issues an Porsche is content to let buyers act as guinea pigs.
That applies to all the German manufacturers now, it seems. My wife's BMW X5 was fairly trouble free until it hit 50,000 miles and everything seemed to **** the bed. When I complained about it to my independent German car mechanic, he said "whatver you do, Don't buy an Audi."

Its true though, especially around here where I live. The most unfriendly, nose up in the air people we come across...Apparently if you can afford a Porsche here in LA and southward you "made it" and your better than all the peasants...
I catch them peepin the vette though. I got a bunch of freedom coming from it. Loud, obnoxious, American flag decals everywhere.
I'm not a sophisticated refined type of man... so I don't ever understand Porsche people.
I drink 6 packs of Coors, I smoke Marlboro reds, I got a blue collar union job, only Porch imma be in is my front one watching my American Flag wave in the wind while I'm pinchin the denim on my girls big round American ***!
Who cares?
Porche driver are like everyone else, they come in many varieties.
For sure! I'm a National PCA instructor and I'm impressed with how many Porsche owners bring their new 911s and Caymans to the track, they all seems like nice people to me and and the cars take the track abuse really well. Still my favorite car to drive on track is my C5 Z06,
Yep. 12 years ago my daily was a '94 Merc E320 cabrio and my garage queen was a BMW E28 M5. Today I'm driving a 20 year old Corvette base coupe. Car guys are, well... car guys.
Why in the world are Porsche drivers so unfriendly?!? Anyway, I'm done ranting. It really makes you appreciate how cool and friendly the Vette community really is. Just yesterday I was having a 5 minute carside conversation with another forum member in a local parking lot and another Vette drove by, rolled down the window and shared a few pleasantries. I love the looks and quality of 911s, but I'd never trade you guys just to have a Porsche.
So after 12 years, have you and said Porsche driver made amends?
