S200 or C5

Let me get this straight....
...You're asking a Corvette Forum...
...if you should keep the Honda?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
While I think I could get a C5 around a track faster than a s2k, on local winding roads the s2k is MUCH more fun. Also since you live in CA, it's much easier to drop the top on the s2k vs remove the targa on the C5.
My problem with the S2k is it doesn't fit a surfboard in it which poses a huge problem for me. It's also not anywhere close to having the useable powerband of a C5. While the TQ curve is VERY flat in an s2k, it's really docile if you aren't winding it out. It's pretty much a sport bike on 4 wheels.
Ever notice in the S2000 you have to keep things above 6 grand to feel any forward motion?
I think even the Hondog Forum would say keep the vette.
Oh yeah - kinda whipped aren't we????
It has nothing to do with its performance or handling capabilities.
It has to do with its exterior styling.
It is some 4 tenths of a second faster in the quarter mile than a stock C5 and some 4 mph faster on the top side.
This certainly isn't much for a C5 to over come with a few bolt ons, therefore, one cannot say that the c6 is a performance beast over the c5.
What little the C5 gives up in performance it more than makes up for in looks. It's lower to the ground, it's wider, more sleek looking and overall presents a more F1 image by far, than does a c6.
This is not to say that the c6 is a bad looking car, nor is it a bash on the c6.
GM could have done more with regard to the C6 but rather, dropped the ball.
Performance wise, I'll give the nod to the c6, on the other hand as exterior looks go the C5 is the winner by a large margin.
