Default MN6 or A6 paddle

How many would trade their MN6 for the new A6 Paddle if they could?

Well I could. And I won't. Any sports car I own will have a clutch.

In my opinion, sports cars should have standard transmissions. The time I spend in traffic with a clutch is all worthwhile to me when I get a chance to wring the car out. There's just nothing like it for me. I've driven paddle shift cars, and I guess they are fine, but just not for me.

I've driven one, and it's pretty cool. It's nowhere near an MN6 is functionality, though. It's an automatic plain and simple. Nothing wrong with an auto, and if they offered it in a C5, I would consider getting one for my wife (she won't drive stick).

Notice I said if it was offered in a C5....I will not consider owning a C6, not now or ever. I don't like the appearance of the car. IMHO, of course.

I'd give it a test drive. I've heard good and bad things about it.

I'll take an auto... if it doesn't have a torque-converter. :p Clutchless manual or traditional manual only for me, thank you.

Default C6 vert with paddles for me!

YES - I would take it. I drove a C6 with this feature and really enjoyed it. It seemed to shift instantly (contrary to above) and you could bang down 2 gears at once, something some of these manu-matics can't do. I think the C5 has a better looking exterior than that car but if I had the money I'd get one in a hearbeat. C6 vert with paddles for me!

Haven't driven a car with the paddle shift auto, but it would have to be awful darn good for me to give up my MN6.

Yank has the A4 to A6 conversion starting at $10,000. Other vendors and tuners are also working on the conversion.

It requires a new driveshaft, torque tube, input shafts and mounts. Oh yes, and your differential will not fit - so add a new diff to the cost.

Want 6 speeds in a C5? Get a stick.

But my slow old 4 speed slush box will blow away 99.9% of the manual drivers.

Never... I haven't driven the paddle shift Vette, but I have driven other paddle shift cars, it's just not the same.

I'd trade an A4 for an A6, but not an MN6 for an A6.
