Call me a cheap bastard, but is me or is $130+ to tint a C5 convertible a little excessive? It's 2 and a 1/4 windows! All flat windows I might add.
Before people start saying, "If you cant afford $130 for a window tint, you should be driving a vette...." That's not the point. It only cost me $150 to tint my 4 door F-150 that has 4 full size windows and a HUGE freekn rear glass!
Let me guess, I get a discount on the the rear windows and glass because I overpaid for the front windows

Ok, Im done complaining.
What have you guys been paying for Window Tint?
Uh, the side windows are most certainly not flat...
I paid $200 for tint on my FRC, and I don't have much more glass than your vert. Then again, my tint was illegal.
seem real high for a vert. I would do some more searching tinting shouldnt be that expensive all you are really paying for is the labor. friend just had his camaro done for 75 all the way around
$150-200 is about the normal range. I paid 160 for my coupe a few years ago.
Everyone thinks the coupe's huge rear window is tough to do, but in reality it's not, the side windows are much tougher to get the film to lay down on...they just have an odd curvature to them.
Down here in South Florida there is someone doing tints in almost every mall and shopping center around. Plus all the stereo shops and the mobile guys. All the competition keeps the crazy prices in check. I tinted my first C5 for $100 and the second a year later for $120 at a different shop. Prices when I was shopping around ranged from a low of $80 at hack job places to $150 at the most upper-end auto salons. Hope this helps....
That sounds pretty close. I paid $170 for my Z a year ago. My tint guy covered the solar dots on the rear window with the same film that surrounds the front/rear windshield. Good stuff!

Last time I checked on prices for tinting mine, the cost was around $220. With you having a Vert, it should be a little cheaper (maybe around $150-$175).
I own a tint shop and i would charge $120 for a car like that. Its a pain in the *** tinting that back window because there is no seals to hide the tint behind
I paid $125. Coming from the windo tinter themselves: its not so much the cost of material, its the labor involved. I had them make sure to do my rear window in one peice as well.
I tried to tint my own. It is harder than you think because of the curved glass. I have a coupe and was quoted $300 to do it all. I think it is worth it.
I paid 180 in Hinesville, GA in 2000 and the back window was two pieces. I traded that 98 coupe for a 01 coupe and got that one tinted in El Paso with one piece on the back window for 85!!! Looks great
I paid about $150 last year for my coupe. I'd say $130 for a vert is right in line. I'd be wary of seeking out the job just on low price... I'd rather pay $30 more from a place with a really good rep then get a crappy job from someone who's eager to lowball on price.
