anyone shave handles/fuel door on their c5. need info pls

Gary (GBvette) has the door handles shaved and tons of other custom work.

Do you know if there is peices to go in place of the door handles or will i have to fab my own. fabricating one is not a problem i do bodywork for a living but if there is a company that makes them im sure it would be better.

if you have a shaved fuel door, how would you put in fuel?

Gary used a few different fillers to work on the panels... I think it's fusor and something else. PM him or search for his posts.

Gary can probably elaborate, but what he told me, is he cut his rocker panels to fit rear brake ducts at the same time he did the doors, and trimmed and used that cutout rocker panel material to fill in the door handle opening.

There's probably not even a handful of C5's out there with shaved door handles, so finding a prefab filler piece or kit ain't gonna happen.

thanks for the help. i would run the fuel somewhere in the trunk area. i just dont like the look of the door handles and i have two chips on that door so i really need to repaint the side anyway.
