Hook up with out TC ?
I have an auto vert , bone stock and from a dead start, the TC just kinda stalls and then its gone, like a sling shot. I have not been to a track yet and when I do, I will wear a Helmet, but I don't see how I could post a decent number with TC on. I would need to get other tires so I do not burn up my runflat$, but I would think I would have to do a couple of burnouts to to get my tires sticky?
On another thread they were talking about how foolish it was to race 1/4 mile without TC on, but what is the difference ET wise?
Anyone run a 1/4 mile track with TC on and OFF ? Do certain tracks ban Verts?
BTW Years ago, I bought a new '96 SS Impala for the wife
. It was really quick,no TC. This was bone stock but faster than other SS's. I guess some come out better than others and we got lucky. That is where I found out about getting the tires sticky. Cold they would spin thru 2nd,tacky, they would hook up and gone. This was before the Fast and Furious movie and the Dealer told me the only way to find out what speed limiter was in it, was to run it WOT.

Running the 1/4 with TC on... might as well stay home.
If you have competition mode for your active handling (i think that was 98 or later - not sure), that's where you want to be.
If the choice was only TC ON or OFF, i'd be running with it OFF (and a helmet). Otherwise, i'd find something else to waste my time on.
