Sympathy for Stangkiller
and reeked of beer. At 3pm on a Sunday, they were all sloshed, big time. One of them, in an attempt to "help" released the come-along, and sent the Vette flying off the ramp and across the UHaul car park with me and Chris in hot pursuit trying to stop it before it hit any of the parked trucks
Quite entertaining
The police officer is obviously a stand up comedian in his spare time. He had us rolling with tons of one liners. I wish all officers was like that.
When he pulled up, we were on the side of Interstate 75 at Junction 258, the passenger door open and we were sitting in deck chairs in the grass waving at everyone that honked or revved as they passed. The officer probably thought "This is going to be good"

He came over, asked us if we fired up the Barbie yet or if we were having a picnic, then he looked around and saw the center console in pieces (we were inspecting the shifter), then looked back at us laid out in deck chairs and grinned. He said "OK, let me guess; you stole the Vette, hotwired the ignition, broke down and decided to have a picnic on I-75"

He then proceeded to make fun of the Vette by telling us that "A Mustang wouldn't break down" and pretended to run away

He was a hoot. Wished I had gotten his name - he makes all LEOs look

We'll get Chris' car fixed in no time
EG

But knowing both of them as I do there is no doubt in my mind that both of these great Vettes will be better than ever when StangKiller and EnglandGreen (aka the crew at SKEG Engineering) get done with them
