'[" and lastly those stereotypes of the drunk dumb redneck from georgia surprisingly do exist...we met a few, who had some very interesting ideas on how to get the car on the trailer.
Hang in there and hope the repairs are quick and easy... Just think what may have happened had you not been able to stop the rolling car and what more damage would have occurred... though I'm sure "visions" were racing through your heads as you chased it... DANG...
Thanks for the updates guys. Glad you're safe and sound and have some idea's on what may have caused it. The story Stephen posted is hysterical. I'm glad there will be a happy ending. Good luck for the repairs to both of you.
Thanks Tom, but my drivetrain was the last thing iw as worried about in my car, i've got a complete drivetrain from a supporting vendor here, including the differential and DTE brace. I really wasn't expecting any problems from the tranny, it shifted so smooth this entire trip, never made any noises either. Which is why Stephen thinks it has something to do with the linkage. I'll call the builderin the morning and see what he thinks it is. Transmission will most likely be coming out by the end of this week.
Chirs
I had to replace my linkage cable from my shifter back. It is very possible, the heat and time wears the cable pretty good and causes these sorts of things to happen. I hope that is the problem, it is a PITA to swap, but it wasn't very expensive to buy. Sure hope that is what it is.
You guys need to get some of the higher power angel dust that Stu runs with ... seems he was the only FL to KY non-casualty this weekend. What do you think Stu ... can you hook these guys up?
