Newby question
There are two different FRC's. The first FRC was offered from 1999 to 2000. The roof did not come come off like the coupe and instead of the hatch back that the coupe has, the FRC has a trunk like the convertable. In 2001, they used the FRC body and turned it into the "Z06." The Z06 is the highest performance C5 that was offered from the factory.
I hope that's not too confusing

Coupe and Hatchback are the same thing and so is Hardtop and FRC. FRC stands for Fixed Roof Coupe or a Hardtop as opposed to the Coupe which has a removable roof panel and an opening back glass hatch. FRC, also means Fuel Rail Covers.
(1) coupe/"hatchback"... most were made this way, all came with a removable targa top.
(2) FRC/"hardtop"- back glass is smaller and has a smaller trunk, came only in 6 speed(MN6), roof is nonremovable and is a little lighter than the coupe and a little less expensive, at one time was suppossed to be develop as a "poor man's corvette" w/ a V-6!(which didn't happen and all FRC's have standard features and a V-8)
(3) Z06- a Z06 is a high performance version with a FRC body. The lightest/highest HP vette(stock).
(4)convertible- well, pretty self explanitory, convertible top, small trunk similar to FRC, heaviest model.
for more answers look at the top of the page under the weights/measurements thread, alot of great information!

You don't want to be a member is this. Sometimes people say FRC to mean "fuel rail cover" also!
