Default Can Anyone Help!!!!!!

Hi there, hope all is well...

In my 1998 automatic c5 corvette, i hit the driverside rear end on the center divide, it snapped the spindle in half and bent the arm and ripped of the side fender... Well thats not the problem

When i go to start the car, i go to turn it on and a loud sound comes from the rear end somewhere, not just that but the back of the car jumps up a little bit, i cant figure it out, does anyone have any advice,
thanks and God Bless,,,

Possibly the electric fuel pump has been damaged or "repositioned", and is now making contact with the fuel tank. Turning the key on sends power to the pump - and most likely is the source of your noise. Not sure what to say about "the back of the car jumping up a little bit"...
Hope things work out for ya

You need to rebuild the whole *** end. You have a bent axle among an array of additional problems back there.

It is your ABS Brakes. The pump is located in the rear on early C5s.

You posted this same post back in 3/23/2006, did you not believe the answer then ?

Sounds like a big deal, big repairs are likely needed. Hope it turns out to be less that we all think it may be.

Good luck!
