The very first mod we installed after we bought our 2000 convertible was Corsa Pace Car Tigershark exhaust. I really liked the sound, but the popping on deceleration got a little annoying. So today I installed a WCC X-pipe. It certainly mellowed the popping, but did not eliminate it. The X-pipe also mellowed the Corsa tone - maybe too much. The exhaust note is now much deeper, not as raspy, and somewhat quieter. Still sounds good, but not "wake up the neighbors" loud. (My wife likes the new sound, so I guess I do too! )
Just wanted to let everyone know what to expect if you are considering adding an X-pipe to a Corsa system.
Man I just spent 1500 on a Bassani X pipe and Corsa Tigersharks, and I must say, Im disappointed in the sound. The Corsa make no noise unles I really get on it...No popping nothing on deceleration at all. I seem to feel slight improvement in performance but wouldnt stake my life on it.
The stock factory catbacks are much livlier in sound than the Touring Corsas. If rumble is what you want, dont buy Corsas.
now you tell me good thing everbodys different I hope they meet my expectations we shall see well at least I don't have the x pipe yet just wanted something a little more agresive than stock but not obnoxius

Taxin...I've got the corsa pace car with WCC X pipe on my 04 MN6 Coupe. If you want to hear them let me know I live near Santiago High.
Is your vert an auto or 6mn I have a set of corsa tigershark on the way
99 vert 6mn and was planning on installing a bassani x pipe
Ours is a 6-speed. During normal city driving I usually shift around 2500 rpm, but if I take it to 3000 or higher to shift, the Corsa still sound good.
I have the Corsa Touring and the sound above 3K rpm is great. Mild rumble at start up and there is of course some popping on decel but all of my friends that ride in it love that.
My biggest problem is the boat motor sound at idle and I had been told to get an X pipe to get rid of that but I am rethinking that if it will change the sound under acceleration too.
another member was gauging interest on selling his x pipe said he missed the pop and gurgle I wonder if it just made it too quite for him
need x pipe now am wondering if bassani is the one or maybe go with another brand also wanted corsas didn't want to deal with the resonance issue

Boat motor gurgle is gone. But....your Touring is already quieter than the Pace Car and you will notice a decrease in volume with an X-pipe. I don't believe the brand of X-pipe would have any bearing on this. The x-pipe is more to balance the exhaust pulses from both banks.
Getting rid of the pulsing would be nice-but not at the expense of accel sound. The radio should take care of the boat motor gurgle at idle and I will of course turn it down when really waking up the exhaust.
Is there any real power gain just from the X pipe? Not interested in putting on headers or high flow cats so I think the X pipe would only be good for eliminationg the gurgle sound. Let me know if you have any other thoughts.
