Default Is there a TSB for the "loose drivers seat" problem?

I need to take my 04 Z06 to the dealer to have the seat fixed and I KNOW they're going to tell me nothing is wrong. (Basically, every time I speed up, slow down, or turn, the seat moves about 1/8" and pops, which is extremely annoying).

I thought I remember a LONG time ago someone posting a TSB about it, I wanted to find it and print it out so I could take it with me when I go. Does such a thing exist?

I seem to have a small amount of movement in my DS as well.

This is a very common problem. Mine does it as well. I believe the DS bracket has to be shimmed. I know someone here knows how to deal with it.

Well I'd rather have the dealer fix it to be honest. I have a baby due in less than 3 days and I'm not really up to doing even 30 minutes of work to the car (extremely tired right now and working a lot of hours at the office as well). I would just ignore the problem but it recently got a LOT worse than it used to be (it moved slightly when I got the car but not so noticeable, now it makes noise enough that you can hear it over the stereo, etc).

This is not listed as a recall but a service bulletin. It is very common. My 02 Z06 does it too. You can fix yourself but it is rather a pain. If you have an 04 though you are supposed to have the new part... Below is the bulletin and the VIN number breakpoint.

Here's a link that explains the fix:

I don't have a TSB on it though.

Thanks a million for that link. I felt a rocking sensation a few times and thought it was my imagination. Now I know what to do when it becomes a real problem...AND, it won't cost me $750.

Good luck. I tried and they told me the service bulletin does not apply to my year vehicle ('04 Z).

I don't understand if so many people have this problem, why is it an issue to have it fixed?

My stupid seat back keeps ratcheting back on the right hand side. It did it 3 times at my last track event very unnerving when running at high speed and braking. I already took it in once but the dealer couldn't find a problem.

Mine is doing the same on the left side. Very disconcerting to be cornering hard and have the seat back fall away from you.
