I was looking on MSN Autos at the 2000 corvettes, because its the year I am hoping to get in a few months. My question is I saw that the MSRP back then was at $38,705. The C6 Z06 is well over 10 grand over MSRP. Was it like that 6 years ago? 6 years ago I didnt care for corvettes, because I was only 13 years old, but anyway I was just curious if they were over the MSRP.

Thanx
Not sure I understand your ???, but a good price should be about $25-30K. Seen one today,M6,cpe. 53K miles $28.5
I don't know if they were selling $10K over MSRP but the price you quote would have been just the base price of a 2000 hardtop, the coupe would be slightly more and the vert was almost $46K.
The window sticker on my 2K Vert was over $54K with opitons and it didn't have all the options or it would have been closer to $56-57K.
Now you should be looking at maybe $24-30K depending on the condition, miles, options, and model.
I bought my 2000 C5 new in May of 2000 and the MSRP before options was $39130.00 here in Sacramento Calif from a local dealer. After adding all the factory options which were another $6309.00 to the window sticker it came out to $46084.00 with another $10K added to bring the asking selling price of $56084.00. Needless to say back then I still ended up paying the $46084 for my fully loaded Black / Black C5 with every option that you could get. Last week I was offered $23K trade in for a 2006 C6 and you should have seen what they were selling the C6's for especially the new Z06's. But as much as I would love to have one I will just hold on to mine !!!
I imagine you probably could depending on time of year and production. Usually the only one commanding a premium when they come out is the new model ZO's.
