C-5 towing
does anyone know if a 04 6cyl gmc envoy will pull a c-5 on a trailer?? and if so does anyone know where to rent either an enclosed or open trailer for Carlisle in Long Island?? thank, wcj

I don't think i'd attempt an enclosed trailer. An Envoy is pushing it. They might rent one to you. Give uhaul or penske a call, see what they say. You might need ot mention you're towing a mazda miata or something along those lines.
The uhaul i rented in Atlanta was a V-6, but weighed way more than an envoy.
When towing, at times i wished my suburban was a bit heavier duty. The envoy will suck, but *may* be able to get the job if you absolutely had to.
In otherwords, i'd try and borrow a bigger truck.

if the trailer has brakes on it, and you have a brake controller, you will be fine.
no way to even consider an enclosed trailer with a v6 envoy

an e250 should be a 3/4 ton model which would be fine, just not sure about the power of the v6. the envoy is probably better there.
