So when I bought my Vette, '00 Coupe, I found a window valet in the rear passenger side storage compartment.
I did some research on it, and plugged it in this weekend. Its nice to be able to have the radio on and the windows down when I approach the car, but when I try to raise them they get to the top and then come back down.
After reading their website it seems as though its sensing an obstruction and the safety feature is bringing it back down. I know you can change the pressure sensitivity, but I need a PIN in order to do this correct?
I don't have any documentation with the valet, so can I just call Topdown Tech?

I believe the PIN in on the window valet itself, you will need to reprogram it again to stop the up/down window situation. Here's a tip- keep your windows down for about an hour before reprogramming the valet, it'll allow the seals on the targa to form back to its shape and not get hung up and trip the valet's sensor! good luck!
I found the window valet manual here : http://www.topdowntech.com/documents/WV-100.pdf
You probably need to calibrate the device for your car - see sections 14&15 of the manual. The PIN should be the last four digits of the device's serial number.
The problem might be that your windows were not both at the same position before using window valet. My experience has been that if one window reaches the top before the other one, both will go back down. I have always assumed this was a safety thing to prevent someone from losing their fingers, i.e., it assumes that something is blocking the window at the top because the other one is still closing.
I shot an e-mail to their support line, and the came back with the same info Barry had mentioned.
Great customer service (from the President of the company no less), and the guy even threw in a story about how his family were John Deere folks (I work for Deere).
Thanks again for all the replies. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and cross your fingers for me, because it does seem like the passenger side rolls up slightly faster than the drivers side
