You know, this topic has been absolutely beaten past death.....whatever that is. It's not C6'ers - it's people who don't know about the wave. I get ignored about 50% of the time, regardless of the generation. I know this is going to sound unbelievable, but I get ignored by C5's as much as anything else.....can we finally put it to rest - please?
I now drive a C6Z and I wave at EVERY Vette, no matter what.
I have been snubbed by all generations alike, but if I had to count, I'd say the highest # of snubs would be from C5s.
Could it be that the C5ers are too quick to assume that they'll get snubbed by C6ers, so they already have a bit of an attitude due to this preconceived notion? Just a theory.
I don't care if people aren't aware of the wave or don't see me or whatever. The guys that get me are the ones who look over, see me wave, then just turn their noses.
I don't get that at all.
Hey everybody-
Was headed out to the gas station and returned a wave to a C5 vert going the opposite way. On the way home, a C6 came the opposite way, I waved, no wave back... I heard the C6'ers are not as neighborly as the prev gen's. I got waves in my old C4 in the past.. I ride m/c's as well and it's the same deal with sportbike riders too....hmmmmm...
So now we're C6er's. Yeah, whatever. They are all Corvettes It's not the generation it's the driver. I've driven a C4 (and waved) a C5 (and waved) and not only do I drive a C6 - I wave first.
Sometimes they see me and wave back and sometimes they don't..... I'm not losing sleep over it
Funny C6 story.... I took a friend out to Ruth Chris' for lunch one sunny afternoon (just after my car was detailed) and we parked all the way in the corner of the lot. When we were done, I made a "pit~stop" and he went outside to wait for me. As I was walking out to the car, there was a couple walking abreast of me out into the same corner of the lot. My friend was looking at a brand spanking new red C6 that was parked a few spaces away from me. He suddenly turns around and says to me, "That car is nice, but I think you're looks better, especially the color....Yours is different" as he walked back towards my car.
(That day was the 1st time he ever saw my car)
The couple walking next to me owned that C6..... When I smiled and waved at them, as they pulled out of the lot, you should have seen the dirty look I got from the driver.....
I guess he should have bought a yellow one too......

Hey everybody-
Could the reason you see more C5 snubs than from any other gen be due to more C5s on the road than any other gen? I think it's called the law of averages.
I'm not sure who I'm more amused by, the people complaining about the C6 non-wavers or the people complaining about the people complaining about the C6 non-wavers!
It's just "next generation syndrome" as I like to refer to it. Same thing happened in the F-Body world with the introduction of the LS1 cars in 98. Suddenly the venerable LT1 guys were "not as worthy."
and to the C4 guys when the C5 came out---and it'll happen to the C6 crowd when the C7 comes out.
Of course it also goes both ways, there are a lot of guys that are jelous of the new kid on the block, so they'll find anything they can wrong with the new generation

cmon now, its a C6, you have to wave to them, thats it. end of story. His car is more expensive than yours.
I will never get why people wanna wave at random people they don't know I see 10-15 c6's daily now.. and more c5's than i care to count... wave all you want... ill be watchin the road Its just a car... cheap and good milage is what its about...
I cut off a Viper the other day and looked behind to see a dodge truck let him in. So I locked up my brakes HEHEHE really messed up there day. They were waving all right. Just didn't do it the way we do.
