Having never done anything close to that in any car I've owned, I'm totally pumped & hope to have a chance at the track sometime in the future. I must say I'm pretty impressed with how the Z handles and how it reeled all those cars in. It looked like most were simply "in the way"... No insult intended towards the other drivers of course, they're at least out there having a go at it! Damn, didn't realize the Z was such a competitor... Shows I have a lot to learn!!!
Great vid, really enjoyed it

A road course is a playground for a Z06. It's my favorite place to drive mine.
Great vid. I was impressed with how you were staying with the Vipers on the straights. Your driving was obviously superior in all other areas. My brother has a Viper GTS, and was on Team Viper with Chrysler and we always go back and forth about which is the better car. I'll be sure to show him this video and emphasize that Vipers are inferior to the Z in capable hands I've done two HPDE events at Watkins Glen, a very different track from where you were running. Looking forward to getting out to different tracks eventually. Nothing like a road course to see what these cars are truly capable of. Again, nice job driving.
Great vid, Jim! I really enjoyed watching you mix it up with the blue Viper once you cleared the other traffic. Obviously you and he were the class of the field at that point. It didn't even appear you were working that hard until you finally got past him, and then the fun stopped.
One suggestion for next time - as much as I enjoy Satriani, I like the Vette soundtrack even more!
I was at the autobahn cc today. I only ran the north circuit and recognized some of your video. I was a rookie and probably did about 15-20 laps and I figure I only have about 1000 more laps and a few private instructions to be able to run the lines you did and make it look so smooth. That was totally impressive. While I was there a red z06 from Wisconsin was tearing up the track. Those Zs are definately at home on a road track like that. They are unbelievable watch, I couldn't imagine driving one like that. Thanks for sharing the video.

This is the club I belong to, we drive the full circuit 10 times a season at the Autobahn CC if you are interested.
