You did a great job of reeling in those Vipers ! ! Having just finished a similar day at GingerMan Raceway, I know how much fun this can be.
What's the cost of joining Performance Drivers?
What kind of straightaway speeds do you hit at Autobahn?
Oh yes, I also would like to suggest that the track-engine sounds are really the best for your track videos.
Perhaps we will see you on a road course some day.
Thanks!
When I joined it cost $3K, I think the price is going to go up slightly for 2007. Remember this track is a private county club and to join it costs a lot more, and the members don't often get the full circuit.
On the longest straight I can get 122, there are two other straights on the full circuit where I can see about 115. Guys with C6 Z06's will get 130mph on that same long straight. I think it's designed to be fairly safe with lots of run off, it doesn't carry the speeds of Road America although they are about the same size in length.
I have other video with no music if you are interested...
for posting this, i surely enjoyed your driving made it look so easy,, i know i can never get that far,, but video made me feel there,,, i get my z 06 next week,,, a 2001,,, can not wait,,, i will get u to give me lesson,s...lol

THAT looks like a new 2006 SRT 10 Hardtop to me!!! Sweetest car for sure of the 4 VIPERS that you bitch slapped and showed who owned the track that day my friend!!
Looks Like Most Of The Vipers Were Braking A Little Early - Try A Little Late Braking And Block Passing Next Time - Those Guts See You Inside Of Them They'll Back Off Every Time.
Would have loved to seen the video without the music and just the much more beautiful sound of the engine!!!!
Great video. I would imagine the viper owners were on the track for their first time?

Can't please everyone, some people like the background music, some don't. I have other videos that I have linked in this thread without background music.
No, my guess the Viper guys tracked their cars. This was an advanced group that specified a high degree of track experience and solo licence from SCCA, NASA or whatever. The Vipers were track prepped, had fancy numbers, were trailered in, etc... Certainly the lead Viper driver had seat time on this track, full circuit, he had the line down. I didn't stay behind the other Viper drivers long enough to tell what line they knew or didn't, they were all braking early. But hey, we were all having fun out there and I was happy to run with some other high performance American Iron. I usually run with a lot of German cars out there.
Great Video-- It is really great to eat snake for lunch. I was wondering if you were going to get that last one before the end of the video !! Good driving !!
It looked to me like the blue car had a driver that had some time on the track. He held you off for awhile and then the pressure got too much for him and he had to do the Viper Wave.
The guy in the SRT was braking like he was on a Sunday drive, coming to a stop sign.
Not only were your lines right on track, you use the brakes like they're supposed to be used (keeping the corner entry speed up, then braking enough to get smoothly through the apex, and then smoothly accelerating out of the corner. In road racing, smooth is fast and you are Definitely smooth).
But if he's puttin around the course, then ya...just a poser with a rice wing. ; )
Great job driving Jim!
I got my first Viper point-by a couple weeks ago at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California. I'm off to Buttonwillow in Southern Cali tomorrow, complete with my nose mounted Helmet Camera so I hope to have some great "kills" on video and will post after.
Ya'll sure have some sweet road courses back East.
