[Z06] Looking for tires...
Is there a tire that's easier to find that is comparable in performance? What do you guys run?
Thanks,
Mike
That said, IMHO, replace all 4 tires, not just the fronts. Different brands of tires and tread designs have different handling characteristics, and you'll upset the balance of the car if you mismatch the tires front and rear.

I would go this route, just because of it is the total package
My Vette, plus my pickup and Jeep. They do a fantastic job of balancing all my tires, even when "repairing screws".
OK, bringing them a "very clean" Speedline wheel and "wide tire" gets their attention.
You picked up a screw once. I would not "skimp" on the "replacement deal".
I "bought" the "replacement deal" for my pickup, my Jeep, and then my Z06 tire replacements.
For my Z06 stock size PS2s, total cost was $1600 OTD. We have 8.25% sales tax included.
Besides the too frequent "fix the slow leak due to a dry-wall screw", I have replaced one pickup and one Jeep "BFG All-Terrain" that
were "destroyed" by screws too close to the side-wall to repair (I agreed with those decisions).
Before I went exclusively with Discount Tire, on my previous pickup I had a local place "repair" a front tire leak from a sidewall screw right at the "corner edge". I didn't pay enough attention. No problem for months, mostly 25 mile trips to town. Then, I was pulling my trailer in summer heat. Just before Raton Pass while gassing up, I noticed it was leaking air badly due to "plug/patch flex" at the corner from "continous heat". It took 600 miles of driving to show up. I had to buy two new "emergency" fronts in Raton, NM. Better than "losing it" in the Pass, with nowhere to pull over.
The pickup and the Jeep tires (one each) "paid for each of the deals". The last screws (three ! ! !) in my right rear F1 had one near the side wall. "Destroyed".
I bought the replacement deal for the PS2's. Had my first drywall screw of the PS2's repaired this week.
Damn, house construction is almost the ONLY industry in this area.
Screw GUN control. SCREW CONTROL ought to be THE law.

I'll never go another way for standard tires. You simply can't beat ~$900 to your door for a set and they grip very well.
JMHO
Regarding tires, I found some tires are worst than others. On other cars I have had, continentals and dunlops were nail attractors. Michelins and Toyos seem to do better. Just my personal experience. Anyone else have any experiences?
