Default another tire question

I just picked up a 2001 z 06.... and the front are almost finished (26k and original) and the rears are about 60% left (2nd set, mile?)...should I replace all 4 or can I do just the fronts?...

I just bought it so I'm low on funds...I also noticed that the oem fronts are 265/40/17....Not a big selection in that size, so can I change the fronts to a different size and leave the rears at the original size?...

thanx

You can just replace fronts. Tires should be replaced in pairs (except on 4 wheel drives).

You need to keep the about 1 inch height difference between front and rear tires or you will have problems with throwing codes (active handling).

what about the fronts, should I stay with the 265/40/17(stock size) or can change the size to ...let's say a 275 categorie and keep the rears at 295/35/18....will this affect the handling or computer?...

You can change the fronts to 275/40/17 and it won't affect the handling at all.
