I'd like to see the look on the other (non Vette owning) mourners faces as you did that.

Now that is considered tacky and inexcusable. I almost did that once..... Once and I caught myself during the move.

I just continued and made like I was adjusting the rearview mirror.....

Lol. I've caught myself starting to wave when I'm in my other car, too. I like the "adjusting the mirror" ploy to play it off...

Like a previous poster said, only if you knew he was a vette guy, then I think it would have been appropriate. But when people are mourning a dear loved one, a stranger displaying any joy-joy happy feelings about vette ownership would be considered weird or rude or both. Somebody died, to H@!! with the car is probably what they would think (if its a guy Im sure his widow would be thinking that).

No wave. A respectful nod of the head would be my move.

I say wave. I know I wouldn't care if it were me in the casket.

A simple wave does not constitute disrespect, blowing the horn in this case would be a no-no. If he chose to return the wave, great, if not, then so-be-it.

It's really personal preference...

I know this is a solemn topic, but that's too funny.
